IMG_2532The West Central Valley School board opened their Thursday night meeting with a public hearing that was dominated by testimony from students supporting science teacher Alexa Groff.

“She has helped me a lot personally and she really cares about her students. She deserves to keep her job.”

Groff may be terminated by the school district at a future meeting. The details of the incident leading to this are not public record as it is district policy not to discuss personnel issues publicly.

The board also approved 2017 contracts for teachers during the meeting and reviewed recent financials.
