Earlier this afternoon ADM senior Allie Cook took the next big step in her athletic career by signing her letter of intent to play soccer for Truman State University next season.

In front of her coaches, teammates and family, Allie Cook officially became a member of the Truman State Lady Bulldog soccer team. Raccoon Valley Radio was there as the multi-sport star put pen to paper and when asked about choosing soccer over other sports, Cook mentioned about the love she’s had for the game since the beginning.

“I’ve been playing soccer since I was nine at the club level and that drew me in because it was something I really liked, competing at tournaments and things like that. Helped me further my love for the game,” stated Cook.

Just as there were many sports calling for the skills of the talented senior, so too were various universities hoping to sign the talented soccer star. In deciding where to continue her soccer career, Cook mentioned to Raccoon Valley Radio how it wasn’t just the success accumulated by the Lady Bulldog soccer team, more importantly it was the coach that drew in the talented senior.

“This team has had a lot of success but the big thing was the coach. The coach was very inviting and welcoming and he took an interest in me right from the start even when I didn’t think I could play at that level. He’s always believed in me and knows he can play me at any spot and I just like his coaching style that he believes in his players and demanded more from them,” explained Cook.
