The ACGC boys and girls golf teams both found themselves in Menlo yesterday taking on the 5 x 80 Golf & Country Club. There they were involved in a conference triangular with Madrid and West Central Valley high schools.

On the boys side it was a closely contested meet with West Central Valley taking the top honors winning the meet shooting 176 followed by Madrid with a 187 followed by the Chargers with a team score of 268. Just as he as all season long so far, McKlain Jorgensen paced the Chargers with a nine hole round of 54 which put him tied for fourth place individually for the meet. Austin Hall found his way onto second place on the Chargers roster by notching a nine whole score of 69 while Spencer Grove was not too far behind with a nine whole score of 70. Casson Benson would round out the Charger scoring with a 75 for the day.

On the girls side all three squads did not have enough to count for teams scores so each went individually. West Central Valley earned a tie for the individual top medalist honors with both Beth Smith and Jaicee Wathne taking home a nine whole score of 62. ACGC’s lone Lady Charger golfer, Kena Baier, took a solid start and turned it into a nine whole round of 73 earning 4th place overall for the meet.

The next competitive action for either squad will belong to the Lady Chargers who head right back on the course this afternoon in a 4:00 pm road meet against Coon Rapids-Bayard.
