Just 9 days before the Drake Relays in Des Moines begins, the ADM Lady Tiger track and field team put on quite a show in the annual Ram Relays yesterday afternoon in Jefferson.

Six first place finishes highlighted the day for the Lady Tigers who ran away with the meet taking first with 146 points. Runner up on the day was Boone in second place followed by South Tama in third, Carroll in fourth, host Greene County in 5th, the Jayetts of Perry in 6th, Kuemper Catholic in 7th, and rounded out with East Sac in 8th.

For the fifth straight meet, ADM standout Keaton Kester took home the gold in the 100 meter dash clocking in at 12.54 seconds yesterday. Josi Lonneman had one of her best performances in the 100 following Kester in second place with a time of 13.48 seconds. Kester also took home the first place finish in the 200 meter dash while sophomore standout Sadie Juergens continued her dominance in the distance events cruising to a first place finish in the 1500 notching 5:06.34.

Sami Schepers continued to show great improvement as last night she notched a first place finish in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 16.15 seconds. Meanwhile ADM’s 4 x 200 stole the top spot by three seconds bested by the 4 x 800 meter relay team taking the crown by almost a full 17 seconds.

Other big finishes on the day included Anna Kenny’s second place finish in the 400 meter hurdles followed by Ellie Mueller taking third in the 800 along with Elle Hook and Lizzy Lohmann snatching second and third places in the 400 meter dash. Josi Lonneman took second in the long jump while ADM’s 1600 sprint medley, 800 sprint medley, and 4 x 400 meter relay teams all took home second place as well.
