The vote for the proposed Dallas County law enforcement center will be held on May 2nd, and county officials are seeking to educate the public tomorrow with another town hall meeting in Adel.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Adel Public Library, and the public is encouraged to attend. Anyone with questions or concerns will have the opportunity to voice them to county officials, as well as learn more about the project and why it’s important for the County. The bond referendum is for $22.9 million. This is the fourth time the County has attempted to get a bond measure passed for a new law enforcement facility.

There will be two more town hall meetings in the County before the vote. Thursday, there will be a meeting at the West Des Moines Police Department, and next Monday there will be a meeting at the Waukee Community Center. The Dallas County Sheriff’s office will also be conducting jail tours this Sunday, so people can see first-hand the need the County faces for new facilities.
