On a rather windy afternoon, both ACGC Charger track and field teams ended off the week yesterday at the Wildcat Relays in Stuart.

The Lady Chargers catapulted into a first place team finish on the heels of 19 top five and 6 first place finishes. The Charger boys had a similar outcome with 19 top five finishes comprised of 7 first place finishes but came up just 5 points shy of first place.

Kate Crawford paced the Lady Chargers on the day with a first place finish in both the 1500 and 3000 meter runs. She clocked in a full 10 seconds ahead of second place in the 1500 (at 5:20.03) and almost a full 30 seconds ahead of second place in the 3000 (11:30.19) which ironically was Emma Swanson. Savana Fuller picked up a first place finish in the 100 meter dash which marks her 10th first place performance on the season so far. ACGC’s 4 x 200 relay team of Reagan Rumelhart, Olivia Laabs, Sara Schmeling, and Savana Fuller picked up a time of 1:57.09 good enough for first place. The same result came from ACGC’s 4 x 100 meter relay team snatching first with 54.04 seconds while the Distance Medley team of Fuller, Schmeling, Crawford, and Smith earned the top spot at 4:40.49. The Lady Chargers were followed in the standings Van Meter in second and West Central Valley in third to round out the top three of 7 teams.

On the boys side 10 individuals earned personal best honors. Dylan Soper kicked off the first place train in the 100 with 11.62 seconds and then followed that up with a first place run in the 200 notching 23.97 seconds. Gabe Rowley took home the first in the 400 meter hurdles clocking in at 1:02.37 while Landon Foster won the 1600 meter run notching 4:58.31.
