The State Auditor’s office has released a report on the Perry Municipal Waterworks.
According to the report, the receipts for fiscal year 2016 totaled $2.4 million, a four percent increase over the year before.  This includes $1.6 million in charges for service, $532,000 for sewer and garbage fees for the City of Perry, $165,000 for miscellaneous operating receipts, $19,000 in rental income and $2,800 of interest an investments.
Disbursements for the year totaled $2.3 million, equal to a two percent decrease over the prior year.  This includes operating costs of $1.2 million, $532,000 for sewer and garbage fees remitted to the City of Perry, $466,000 for capital outlay and $107,000 in debt service.
