Spring break in the Greene County school district wraps up over the weekend. For the Spring sports teams, the Rams have had some track & field workouts, and the golf teams won’t start practice until Monday, March 20.

A skeleton crew of track and field Rams went to Ames earlier this week for indoor competition. Girls’ head coach Kelly Simpson was asked how he felt it went. “I walked away pleased with our kids’ performances in Ames. I thought the kids really performed well with high quality and really close to their PR (personal record), so we felt pretty good about it.”

Coach Simpson was asked about getting the outdoor season underway on March 27 in Jefferson at the Greene County Early Bird Meet. “Let’s have no snow, about 70 degrees would be nice. Then we’ll just let the kids run and get some good times, good throws, and good jumps.”
