It has been a cold and wet week in the Raccoon River Valley.

According to the National Weather Service, Perry received 4.1 inches of snow this past week and Guthrie Center saw 1.5 inches.  Normal snowfall totals for the first half of March are around 2.5 inches.

Despite the snow, both areas are still behind in terms of precipitation so far this month.  Normal totals are around 0.87 inch.  So far Perry has received 0.68 inch and Guthrie Center has seen 0.37 inch.

There’s no rain or snow in the immediate forecast.
