The high school outdoor track & field season for Greene County starts tomorrow at Linduska Field in Jefferson with the Greene County Early Bird Coed Meet starting at 4:30 p.m. The Rams will be hosting girls’ teams from CMB (Baxter), Gilbert, South Hamilton (Jewell), Manson-Northwest Webster, and Winterset. The boys will host Paton-Churdan, M-NW, CMB, SH, and Winterset. No team scoring will be kept.

Kelly Simpson is the Rams’ head coach for girls and Dean Lansman is the boys’ head coach. Coach Simpson returns four girls with past State meet experience, led by 2016 Drake Relays high jump champion and Class 3A State high jump champion Megan Durbin, a junior. She also is a past State meet sprinter. Senior Olivia Hansen, junior Laurin Lyons, and sophomore Melanie Doran have State experience on relays.

Three boys, all seniors, return for the Rams with State experience on relays. They are Logan Lansman, Chase Stoline, and Nick Schroeder.
