Perry High SchoolThose who purchase an annual pass to cheer on the Perry Bluejays and Jayettes will have to pay a bit more next year.

The School Board approved an increase at their meeting Monday.  Superintendent Lynn Ubben says costs are going up due to an increase in costs for officials, services, equipment and supplies.

“Our adult and student passes are some of the lowest in the conference.  So it helps because that helps with some of your activity accounts so that you’re able to purchase some of the things the kids need to participate in activities.  So the student pass will go up to $40, which is still pretty low, and the adult pass to $100.  If you figure that’s your entire school year, and with the fees to get into events, that’s a pretty good deal.”

Ubben says the increase is only $5 for each of the passes.
