IMG_4476The Perry School Board met in regular session Monday.

At the meeting, Business Manager Kent Bultman reviewed the 2015-2016 school audit report which was later approved by the Board.  Bultman also reviewed the proposed fiscal year 2018 budget based on the 1.11 percent State Supplemental Aid.  A public hearing on the budget will be held during the April Board meeting.

Superintendent Lynn Ubben then talked about a national conference she recently attended and reviewed pending state legislation.

The Perry Education Association roster for the upcoming school year, including extra-curricular, Teacher Leadership and Compensation, extended contracts and letters of agreement was then approved as presented.

An increase in athletic pass fees was approved.  The Raccoon River Conference admission prices will go up in the fall due to an increase in officiating fees and costs for services, equipment and supplies.  Therefore, Perry’s student athletic passes will cost $40 and adult passes will be $100 starting in August.

A budget guarantee resolution was approved for the 2018 fiscal year, as were contracts for administrators with a 2.43 total package increase and contracts for special services group employees with a 2.45 percent increase.

The 2017-2018 insurance plan and rates were then approved.  The District’s rates will increase by 8.7 percent for the next fiscal year.

Finally, personnel changes and board policy revisions were approved as presented.

We will hear more on the meeting and things happening in the District from Superintendent Lynn Ubben on tomorrow’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program.
