Perry Girls Golf Breaking Out the Clubs This Week

March 16, 2017 6:27 am

This is always the trickiest time of the year for high school spring athletes as Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate.  The Perry girl’s golf team started swinging the clubs for the first time this past Monday as they get set for their season opening match on April 4th with both Ballard and Norwalk.

Perry returns some experience with Skylar Cunninghman, Brooke Huntington, Madyson Hill, Alyssa Kruger, and Hannah Roberts all back with varsity experience.  Kruger missed the entire basketball season following shoulder surgery in the fall and her status won’t be known until later in the season.  There will be a couple of varsity spots to fill due to the graduation of 3 seniors.  Ellie Nielsen and Elizabeth Blakeman along with Rebeccah Dobson all graduated from last year’s team.

Perry’s first home meet will be April 6th at the Perry Golf and Country Club.
