Greene County High School seniors Logan Lansman and Nick Schroeder plan on pursuing their education and football careers in Council Bluffs at Iowa Western Community College. Schroeder was a receiver, defensive back, and kicker for the Rams, while Lansman was a receiver and defensive back.

Lansman was asked about what he liked about Iowa Western. “I just kind of figured that Iowa Western has the best opportunities for me to go higher on the scale of divisions that you can play in football. They’ll try to get me re-recruited to a higher level.” His comments about the facilities were, “Pretty much everything they have is brand new. They’ve only been a program for about eight years now, so everything they have is updated and high tech.” About academics at Iowa Western, Lansman added, “I don’t really know what I want to go into yet, but they have a really wide variety, so I feel I’ll be able to choose during the time I’m there.”

Greene County was 1-8 last fall. Dean Lansman, Logan’s father, was the head coach, but gave up the position this winter. He’s still the Activities Director, head boys’ track & field coach, and science teacher at the high school. Mitch Moore was hired last month to head the Greene County football program.
