A Jefferson man faces several drugs charges following a traffic stop on Friday night.
According to the Jefferson Police Department, an officer stopped a vehicle after watching it go through a stop sign at West Lincoln Way and Grimmell Road at 10:19 p.m. The officer stopped the vehicle in the 900 block of West Madison Street.
As the officer was speaking to the driver, he noticed the smell of marijuana. The officer then performed a probable cause search of the vehicle and found narcotics, narcotics-related items and cash. 21-year-old Stephen Arthur Molle was arrested and charged with a Class D Felony for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a serious misdemeanor for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
