After ending February with more precipitation but less snow then normal, the Raccoon River Valley area is on pace with average so far this month.

According to the National Weather Service, both Perry and Guthrie Center received over half an inch or precipitation and an inch of snow since our last report.

A few days into March, trace amounts of rain fell over the two areas when around 0.1 inch is considered normal.

The weather looks to warm back up to the sixties this weekend and there’s no precipitation in the immediate forecast.
