Despite severe storms earlier this week, the Raccoon River Valley has received less rain than normal so far this month.
According to the National Weather Service, Perry received just over a quarter of an inch of rain this week. Both Perry and Guthrie Center have seen around one-third of an inch or precipitation during the first week and a half of March. Normal monthly totals for this point in the month are just under one-half inch.
There is a chance for more snow this weekend.
