Funeral services for Earl Baudler, 85, of Fontanelle, will be Friday at 10:30 am at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle. Burial will be in the Fontanelle Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by the Fontanelle American Legion Carlson Post 247. A luncheon will be held at the church following the services at the cemetery. Visitation will be Thursdya from 4 pm to 8 pm at the church. Family will be present from 6 pm to 8 pm. Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle is assisting the family. Memorials may be directed to the Earl Baudler Memorial Fund to be established by the family. Survivors include: Charlene. Children, Earlene Purdy of Greenfield, Mickey Baudler of Fontanelle, Roxanne Purdy of Adel, Craig Baudler of Fontanelle, John Baudler of Fontanelle and Timothy Baudler of West Hollywood, California. 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

The Friends of the Jefferson Library Spring Book Sale will be held from April 27th through April 29th in the basement meeting room of the library. They will have used books dvds, cds, games, puzzles and teacher educational materials available. Admission is free to the book sale and it is open to the public.
