It’s safe to say there’s a lot of excitement surrounding the commencement of the 2017 season for the ADM girls soccer team. After all, they are coming off a 19-2 season which took them to the state tournament for the 4th time in six years.

ADM’s season last year ended with the Lady Tigers earning the 4th best ranking in all of class 2A which included a schedule that slated them against 5 top ten 2A schools. The Lady Tigers mowed through that schedule defeating 4 of those 5 ranked schools with their only regular season loss coming to hands of 3rd ranked North Scott.

Despite the excitement from last season, what’s more exciting is the fact that ADM returns a lot of firepower from last year’s state tournament squad returning 5 out of their top five scorers from last season. When the Lady Tigers step onto the field for their first game on April 6th, they will be wielding returning top scorer Sydney Bertman and her 21 goals, 52 points, and 10 assists from the year prior. With the return of fellow top scorers Allie Cook, Chelsea Bright, Jordan Hook, and Sydney Canney, the Lady Tigers return over 78% of their offensive production from last year.

Another exciting aspect for ADM is unlike last season, the Lady Tigers will have a true home field after playing at the Island Soccer complex last season. The Lady Tigers will be the first of the ADM soccer teams to unveil the new soccer field when they welcome in a Tigers squared match up against the Carroll Tigers April 6th.
