PD160969 PD160975Two females were arrested after a police chase that started in Perry Tuesday.

According to Perry Police Chief Eric Vaughn, officers attempted to pull over a red 2016 Toyota Camera in the area of West 3rd and Warford streets.  The driver slowed down and stopped but as the officer approached the car she fled in an attempt to elude police.  The pursuit traveled through the south end of Perry, heading south on P58 before turning east on 195th Street and east on F31 before leaving the road briefly.  Once the chase entered the city limits of Minburn, Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies joined in before the suspect lost control on a curve at Walnut and 1st Street and got stuck in a field.

Officers determined the vehicle was reported stolen from Des Moines in December.  The driver, 21 year-old Hayley Sue Rote and passenger 19 year-old Paloma Perez are both charged with theft in the first degree, a Class C felony, eluding, a Class D felony and an aggravated misdemeanor for accessory after the fact.

Both were booked into the Dallas County jail and are held on a $500 bond.
