A Scranton woman suffered injuries Tuesday morning after an accident in Calhoun County.

According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s office, 25 year-old Cassondra Kay Blankenship was traveling north on Jennings Avenue, when she lost control of the 1998 Chevrolet Malibu she was driving, due to the frost covered roads. The vehicle then broadsided a field driveway and entered the east ditch.

Blankenship was transported to Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City by Calhoun County Emergency Medical Services with injuries.

The Malibu sustained $1,000 in damages.
