Dominic AuxierA Boone teenager was arrested in Jefferson and faces a felony drug charge.

According to the Jefferson Police Department, just after 7pm Thursday night, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of West Lincoln Way. The vehicle didn’t have a front registration plate displayed. As the officer approached the vehicle, he noticed the pungent odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver, 18 year-old Dominic Michael Auxier denied having marijuana in the vehicle.

Police Chief Mark Clouse says having probable cause with the odor of marijuana present, the officer searched the vehicle and found two large ziplock bags of about four ounces of marijuana in the front passenger side floor board. Auxier was then arrested and charged with a Class D Felony for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and simple misdemeanors for failure to provide proof of financial liability and failure to display registration plate.

He was booked into the Greene County jail.
