IMG_6413The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Thursday.

In a budget work session the Supervisors made several cuts and changed funding amounts in order to avoid cutting into the county reserve or raising the levy next year. A new budget estimate will be available on Tuesday. They tabled a salary increase for elected officials pending the new budget numbers. They voted for a 1% budget increase for the eight county supported libraries and transferred $4,000 from the 4-H fund to the Fairgrounds fund at the request of those boards. The Fairgrounds intends to use the funds as part of a construction effort for a new small animal building. The Supervisors also approved several payroll notices for the Secondary Roads department as they add a new employee and take over the Integrated Roadside Vegetation Management program.
