The American Cancer Society is recruiting teams and sponsors from local families, businesses, schools, places of worship, and the community as a whole, to participate in the annual Relay For Life of Guthrie County June 16, from 4 to 10pm at the ACGC High School Track in Guthrie Center. The Relay for Life of Guthrie County Kickoff, which was planned for February 25 has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict. A St. Paddy’s Day Kiss the Blarney Stone Relay For Life 9-Pin Handicap Individual Bowling Tourney is scheduled now scheduled for Friday, March 17, starting at 3 p.m. at Incredibowl in Guthrie Center. Kim Durst with Relay for Life Guthrie County tells Raccoon Valley Radio the event is a great way to learn more about getting involved in the battle against cancer.

“We will be there all the way to midnight, so you’ll have plenty of chances to come out, enjoy the evening, learn about Relay and sign up a team.”

Relay For Life information will be available and team registrations will be accepted. The committee will be reaching out to past teams in the next week if they haven’t already registered. Go to www.relayforlife.org/guthriecountyia to sign up.
