IMG_4137The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

At the meeting, payroll change notices for the Auditor’s office and community services department were approved as presented.

Dana Wernimont with Design Alliance then reported at the 902 Court Street project is 99 percent complete, with some minor paint touch ups needed.  A substantial completion is expected to be brought before the Board for approval at next week’s meeting.  The fourth and final pay application for the north campus construction project was then approved in the amount of $12,440 to Caliber Concrete.

Right of way purchase agreements for the 250th Street culvert replacement and grading project were then approved.  The County will pay W. Daniel Fallis $9,948 and the Paul D. Eby Revocable Trust $4,768 for the easement.  Engineer Al Miller says they need additional property to be able to complete the project.  Some of the easement is permanent and a portion is temporary for the construction portion of the project.

A public hearing in regards to the replat of property in Buck’s subdivision.  Lester Modlin has requested to split Lot 2 into two separate plats.  The Board of Adjustment previously approved a variance to allow the property owner to have plats that are smaller than the required size.  Following the hearing, the Board approved the replat as requested.

A joint road maintenance 28E agreement termination request from the City of Linden was then discussed.  The agreement makes the County responsible for pavement, traffic services, drainage and winter maintenance and they get half of the state funds the City receives for roads.  The Board took no action on the item and instead will wait to see what is decided by the Linden City Council.
