The newly appointed Dallas County General Election Review Commission will hold their first meeting Wednesday.
Democratic Special Precinct Board member Michael Cooper, Republican Special Precinct Board member Dawn Van Buren, Republican Party representative John Strathman and Democratic Party representative Art Behn were appointed by the County Supervisors Tuesday.
Commissioner of Elections Julia Helm says a representative from the Secretary of State’s office and the election software company will be in attendance. The Commission will review the documents and the number of absentee votes not transferred to the totals group report during the November general election.
Helm, who became the County Auditor this year, says she is going to fix the problem and make sure it doesn’t repeat itself.
The meeting is open to the public. It takes place at 10am in the elections office at 210 North 10th Street in Adel.
