Today is national Take Your Child to the Library Day and the Perry Public Library invites all area families to come celebrate.

The goal is to encourage parents to use the library on a regular basis and promote the development of good reading habits at a young age.

The local event will include face painting and balloon animals, plus free take home books for kids.

It takes place from 10am until 1pm and there’s no cost to attend.
