Seniors Isaiah Yoder and Hunter Ruth, the only seniors on the Greene County High School wrestling team, won individual titles on Saturday at the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference tournament in Alleman at North Polk High School. Yoder improved to 31-5 on the season with a pair falls and a 6-3 decision in the title match at 182 lbs. Ruth is now 21-2 after winning all three of his Saturday matches by first period fall at 220 lbs. Ram head coach Mark Sawhill credited his two seniors for winning their first conference titles and being team leaders for what is a young Greene County squad.

Junior Cayden Gerdes (132 lbs.) finished in second place and he has the third best record on the team at 21-7. Freshman Garrett Tasler (106) and junior Isaac Ireland (152) both placed third. Greene County had no fourth place finishers, but freshman Will Hansen (126) and sophomore Brock Wuebker (170) both finished in fifth place. Juniors Dale Morlan (120) and Caden Wilson (285) both were sixth.

PCM (Monroe) won the team title with 220 points and four champions. Saydel (Des Moines) was next at 210 and two champions with Gilbert third at 193.5 and three first place finishers. In fifth place behind Greene County was South Hamilton (Jewell) with 130 points and two champions. Roland-Story (Story City) was sixth at 103 with no one in the finals. Nevada had one champion and was seventh with 82 points, followed by the host NP team with 71 points, and CMB (Maxwell) was ninth with 59 points. Neither the Comets or Raiders had a champion.
