For the second time this season, inclement weather struck West Central Valley basketball, this time last night as both Wildcat teams were set to take on Woodward-Granger high school.

It was set to be the round two match up for both teams against Woodward-Granger that will now have to be set back awhile, and no make up date has yet been announced.

The Lady Wildcats were excited at the possibility of acquiring their first series sweep of the season against the Lady Hawks but will now have to settle against the conferences toughest match up in Panorama this Friday. West Central Valley trades a 7 loss Woodward-Granger team for a one loss Panorama team having just lost their first game of the season last night. The Lady Panthers and the Lady Wildcats will trade blows as the conferences second and third best teams in highest points per game total. West Central Valley will have to refocus their efforts from stopping one top scorer in Woodword-Grangers Mary Hansen, to doing the best they can to limit the production of the Panther duo of Devyn Kemble and Bailey Beckman averaging a combined 27 points per game.

On the boys side of the ball, the West Central Valley boys squad will have to wait a few more days before they get the chance to break their three game loosing streak. They trade a Woodward-Granger squad loosers of two out of the past three games for a red hot Panther team winners of the past 3 straight games. The Panthers have averaged over 66 points per game inside their current three game winning streak. The big key defensively for the Wildcats will be limiting the production of Bryce Halterman who averages 19 points per game connecting on over 46% of his shots from beyond the arc.

Once again, the West Central Valley girls and boys basketball teams had their conference match up with Woodward-Granger last night postponed and a make up date has not yet been announced.
