After a successful Tiger Invitational on Saturday ADM wrestling will be back on the home mats today squaring off in a Triangular with conference foes Bondurant-Farrar and Carroll.

The Tigers will be heading into their triangular tonight wielding a dual meet record of 8-10 as well as presenting a team that has put forth 9 wrestlers with top 4 finishes in the last two invitationals. In the most recent Tiger Invitational, ADM saw their own Andrew Flora at 106 lbs take the crown as he continues his run as class 2A’s 7th ranked 106 lb wrestler.

Certainly all the work so far has been producing steady improvement for the Tiger wrestling team as they find themselves down the barrel of the final stretch. Despite all the progress made however, head wrestling coach Justin Schmauss feels his team hasn’t hit full stride yet and as he told Raccoon Valley Radio, that’s been the plan all  along.

“That’s the way we’ve been planning it. We’ve worked really hard leading up into the Tiger Invitational and even weeks past we’ve been picking up the intensity in the room. It’s deffinately shown that the guys are wrestling harder, they’re in good shape and I anticipate them to only get better here as we get into the end of the season, we have a lot of competition coming up. Those competitions are only going to make them wrestle better,” explained coach Schmauss.

The Tigers are certainly primed for more improvement tonight in a triangular that they dominated last year defeating the Blue Jays 66-12 and the Carroll Tigers 54-24. The action tonight will kick off beginning at 5:30 pm located in the north gym.
