A woman accused of failing to yield upon a left turn in a crash that killed a West Des Moines police officer last year will have a pretrial conference next month.
38 year-old Jeanette Keifer of Stuart’s vehicle collided with a motorcycle driven by 47 year-old Sergeant Shawn Miller on August 3rd. It happened on Highway 169 as Miller was returning to West Des Moines after testifying in a case at the Dallas County courthouse in Adel. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Keifer’s initial appearance was held Friday the pretrial conference, for her enhanced citation due to the crime resulting in death, will take place February 17th at 1pm.
