Grace Marburger will look to lead Perry past Carlisle tomorrow night.

Every night, she gets the best that the opposition can throw at her.  Perry senior Grace Marburger knew coming into the season that she was going to be the center of attention for a lot of the conference schools that faced her last year.  As a junior, Marburger led Perry in scoring in 2015 putting in 12 points per game and connecting for 50 3-point baskets.  This season, she has put up even bigger numbers despite being the center of the opposition’s game plan each and every night.

“Grace has really done a good job for us this year,” added Perry Head Coach Mike Long.  “I’m not surprised by her success.  She works really hard and has become a solid player.  We ask her to do a little bit of everything for us.  She handles the point, can run in at shooting guard and also mix it up inside and get rebounds and play solid defense.”

Through the first 13 games, Marburger is averaging close to 15 points per game and has connected on 27 3-point baskets.

“She is always surrounded by the other team’s best player and a help out defender who stays close.  She has done a good job this year attacking the basket and has really been an unselfish player in making the extra pass when somebody else has a better shot.”

Perry (10-3) will host Carlisle in a 6:00 game tomorrow at the Sports Pavilion.
