A Perry woman was cited following a vehicle rollover accident in Greene County Tuesday.

Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams says a deputy, the Jefferson Fire Department and Greene County Emergency Medical Services responded to the crash at the T-intersection of Quest Avenue and 305th Street at 6:15am.

Thirty-one year-old Chelsea Gardner was traveling north on Quest Avenue when she lost control of her 2007 Ford Freestyle, as it slid on the icy road, and rolled into the north ditch. Williams notes that Gardner was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident. She didn’t suffer major injuries, but was taken to Greene County Medical Center by Greene County EMS as a precaution.

The vehicle was considered to be a total loss and Gardner was cited for failure to register.

Williams reminds everyone to drive to the conditions of the road and slow down when the roads are icy.
