Anyone looking to volunteer with a local 4-H club this year is encouraged to attend a training event later this week.
The 4-H New Volunteer Training is a regional event designed for anyone committing to a long-term experience working with 4-H youth in a club or project or Clover Kid leaders and assistances.
Volunteers are required to attend a regional new volunteer training within the first 12 months of being screened and approved. The training will provide better working knowledge of positive youth development, the Iowa 4-H Equation and tools to be more confident and capable in working with youth.
