A DeSoto man with an extensive history of crime in Dallas County was arrested again last week.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office, 46 year-old Brain Alan Greif allegedly attacked a man with a machete at the Kum and Go in DeSoto on January 5^th.

Deputies obtained a warrant for Greif’s arrest and located him at his home on the 8^th.  He is charged with willful injury and second degree criminal mischief, both Class D felonies, along with an aggravated misdemeanor for assault by using or displaying a weapon.

Greif was being held in the Dallas County jail on a $5,000 bond but was ordered to spend 20 consecutive days in jail after disrespecting the judge during his initial appearance on January 9^th.  His bond was also amended to $10,000 cash only.

An arraignment has been set for February 24^th.
