It’s round two for both ADM Tiger basketball teams tonight as they circle the Raccoon River Conference wagon heading to Huxley. There they will be squaring off against the Ballard Bombers in the final regular season game between these two squads.

The girls game will feature a closely contested match up from game one where ADM just missed out on a win by three points to the Bombers at ADM high school. Tonight the Lady Tigers will be marching into a tough environment that hasn’t treated opponents well as Ballard has dominated their home court to the tune of 36 wins and just one loss over the past three plus seasons combined. The last time ADM took a victory over Ballard at any location was back in the 2013-2014 season. The big battle to watch out for will be the defensive battle. While the ADM defense has held 7 teams under their scoring averages, the Lady Bomber defense has been halting the production of almost every offense they’ve faced. The Lady Bombers head into tonight’s match up 4th in class 4A in fewest points allowed (452). ADM will search for the upset and their 4th conference win on the season tonight against the 9-4 Lady Bombers who seek their 6th conference win.

The Tiger boys basketball team will be aiming for their first series sweep on the season against their Ballard opponent. ADM defeated the Bombers back in the second game of the season by a three point margin in Adel. This time the Tigers will have to step onto a basketball court that wasn’t kind to them last season where ADM blew a late fourth quarter lead which led to a painful upset. This time around, ADM will look towards their conference leading perimeter game that yields 88 made three point baskets on the season. The last match up against the Bombers witnessed ADM pour in a current season high 13 made three point shots, something the Tigers will look to replicate tonight. In all ADM takes on a Ballard team that sits 4-8 overall, 1-5 in conference play, seemingly a far cry from a team the captured the conference crown with ADM a year ago. The Tigers wield their top scorer Tajen Ross who sits tied for second in class 3A in points per game while the ADM defense will set their sights on Ballard’s top scorer Max Stoltz with 12.3 points per game.

Girls will tip off their game at 6:00 with the boys to follow at 7:30 pm but you can catch all the action tonight on K107.9 FM with pregame coverage at 5:45 pm.
