For the second time this season, mother nature has put a damper on ACGC basketball as inclement weather has forced a postponement of last night’s double header varsity match up. No make up date has yet been decided.

Both Charger squads were set to kick off the week last night with a home conference match up against Madrid but with the postponement, the first game of the second week in January will have to come on Friday on the road in Ogden.

The Lady Chargers were licking their chops at a chance to take their first series sweep of the season against a Madrid squad whom they defeated by a slim one point margin back in just the second game of the season. Madrid and ACGC both currently reside in the bottom half of the conference in terms of conference record. The Lady Charger have a slight edge over Madrid with a 2-5 conference mark compared to Madrid’s 2-6 conference mark. Now the Lady Chargers will hit the road for the first time in three games on Friday taking on an Ogden team also dwelling with ACGC and Madrid at the bottom of the conference standings.

They ACGC boys squad will have to wait a few more days to find their first win on the season. They will get their next chance Friday taking on an Ogden squad sitting at 4-7 overall, and 4-5 inside conference play. Head coach Jake Mohling and his Charger team will be aiming to extract a revenge win over Ogden for a 16 point defeat of the Chargers on ACGC’s own hardwood back in week two. The Chargers will have one more day to prepare for Ogden’s duo scoring threat in Nathan Kennedy and Ben Heeren who have combined to average just under 30 points per game this season.

Once again, last night’s conference match up for ACGC has been postponed with no make up date yet announced.
