After a pair of conference games on Tuesday, both ACGC boys and girls basketball teams will have a quick turnaround tonight hitting the road once more in Anita. The Chargers will take a short break from conference play as they take on CAM high school.

The Lady Chargers look to get back on the winning track after falling in their past 5 straight games. They will be taking on Rolling Valley member CAM high school currently wielding a record of 9-3. They enter into tonight’s contest winners of 5 out of their last 6 games as they continue to improve their shooting already ranked 4th in class 1A in field goal percentage. CAM has three players with double digit scoring averages in Madison Gettler (15.6 ppg), Paige McAfee (13.0 ppg), and Felicity Jackson (12.4 ppg). These two teams faced off last year late in the season with CAM coming out on top 58-34.

The Charger boys squad will be taking a lot of momentum with them as they head into their match up tonight. ACGC earned their first win on the season against conference opponent West Central Valley on Tuesday and now will head out of conference to seek their second straight win tonight. They match up against a CAM squad currently riding on a steak of 6 wins in the past 7 games. CAM is led by Thomas Hensley who ranks 2nd in the Rolling Valley Conference in scoring averaging 21.5 point per game. The Chargers will need to be extra stingy on defense going up against a team that ranks among the best in fewest turnovers allowed in class 1A.

The non conference twin bill will tip off with the girls contest tonight at 6:00 pm followed by the boys game at 7:30 inside CAM high school.
