ffaSeveral Greene County High School FFA students recently attended the national convention.

Greene County made the trip to Indianapolis, Indiana with the Earlham FFA chapter. Some of the things that students experienced include ziplining through caves at Go Ape! Treetop Adventures, visiting Churchill Downs and Tom Gannon describes his favorite part of the trip.

“My favorite thing that we did on the trip was touring the Caterpillar manufacturing plant. It was pretty neat. There was a lot of big machinery and I never knew how they put it together and how it was distributed.”

Everyone who went on the trip said they were amazed by how many students are a part of FFA across the country. Chloe Anderson says it was a unique experience.

“Well I kind of got offered to go by a friend and I’ve never gone that way (east) across Iowa out of state through Illinois and Indiana and what not. So it was really cool just to get out of Iowa for a little bit.”

Some of the students that went on the trip will give a presentation to the Greene County School Board later this month at their regular meeting.
