Stuart/Menlo residents in Guthrie County needing to sign up for heating assistance (LIHEAP), the mobile unit will be in Stuart on January 26th at the United Methodist Church, 219 NW 2ND St, Stuart Iowa from 9am-3pm. There will be a Benefit held for Mike Picard on Sunday January 22, at the Southeast Valley High School Cafeteria from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. There will be Chili, Homemade Turkey Noodle Soup and Baked Goods available. Free Will Donations will be accepted and there will also be a Silent Auction. All Adair County 4H and FFA members planning to exhibit Ponies or Horses are urged to attend a special workshop on Sunday, January 22nd from 3:00-5:00 pm at the Extension Office meeting room. Parents are also encouraged to attend. This meeting is to review identification and show requirements, explore ways to demonstrate your knowledge outside the show ring, and gather input for County Fair and summer workouts.
