The Perry Police Department encourages all area residents to get rid of their unneeded, unused and expired medications today.

It’s National Drug Take Back Day and all over the country agencies are collecting prescription and over the counter medicines.  The goal is to provide a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of drugs and spread the word about the potential for medication abuse.

Items can be dropped off at the Perry Hy-Vee between 10am and 2pm today, no questions asked.
