A very fine season overall for the 2016 Panorama Panther squad who unfortunately did not make the final cut for the playoffs.

The Panthers ended the season with a 7-2 record while ending with a 5-2 record inside class 1A’s district 6. One thing that normally reeks havoc on football teams is the injury bug and it certainly took its tole on the Panther football team this season. The Panthers never had the luxury of having all 11 original starters on the field at any one given time but that didn’t stop the Panthers from having a very fine season in 2016.

Raccoon Valley Radio spoke with Panorama head football coach Lyle Alumbaugh about the biggest strength to his 2016 Panther team. Coach Alumbaugh noted how relentless spirit was their biggest strength as the Panthers pushed through all the injuries.

“Well I think they’re pretty relentless. We never had all our starters on the field at any one time due to one thing or another and the next guy up did his job and did as well as he could. They persevered and they just kept on coming back and we were fortunate enough to win seven games,” stated coach Alumbaugh.

With the Panthers finishing 7-2 this season, Panorama has enjoyed at least a 7 win season for the past four years straight.
