Another season down and another season of improvement for the West Central Valley football team under the tutelage of head coach Eric Addy.

The Wildcats ended their 2016 season with an overall record of 2-7 and a class 1A district 6 record of 1-6. The Wildcats saw the improvement shown in matching their win total from the past two seasons combined into the 2016 season. West Central Valley saw great improvement in the rushing game scoring almost double the amount of points int 2016 as they scored in their previous 2 seasons notching 30 rushing points in 2016 compared to just 12 a piece in 2015 and 2014. The Wildcats also became known for a great passing attack that has greatly improved in just one season throwing for 1,227 passing yards, 30 interceptions, and 6 touchdowns last season to over 1,300 yards, just 19 interceptions, while doubling their touchdown total to 12 this season.

Defensively the Wildcats were a dominant tackling team in 2016 leading class 1A’s district 6 with 511 total tackles while tying for first in the district in tackles for loss with 58 on the year.

Certainly a much improved squad under the helm of head coach Eric Addy with a lot more improvement to come in 2017.
