It was round two for the ADM Lady Tiger volleyball team taking on the Fillies of Dallas Center-Grimes in round two regional action last night.

ADM had the luxury of a home match up as they sought to take a 2-0 sweep of the Fillies after defeating Dallas Center-Grimes in the regular season back on October 6th. Unfortunately for ADM they found the saying, it’s hard to be a team twice, to be every so true as the Fillies road into ADM high school and road out with a 3 set to 1 match win.

The Lady Tigers started out strong taking the first set 25-20, but the Fillies would storm back in a big way to take the next two sets in close fashion 25-20 and 26-24 before taking the fourth set and match win by a solid 25-17 score.

It was a solid night from junior Sami Schepers who drew 12 kills, 16 digs, 2 blocks, and 13 successful serves on the night. Senior Sydney Bertman ended her ADM volleyball career with a solid night as well posting 7 kills, 16 assists, 11 digs, 11 successful serves and 2 aces.

Brianna Heiman tied Schepers for ADM’s highest kill count with 12 on the night. Freshmen Delaney Bertman led the team in assists with 20 while junior Jordan Hook led the team in digs with 25 and junior Ellie Mueller led the team in successful serves with 19 on the night.

With the loss the 13th ranked Lady Tigers unfortunately end their 2016 season with a 23-11 overall record, and an un beated Raccoon River Conference record.
