Greene County RSVP 55+ has a new volunteer coordinator.

Kristie Hurley is a long time Jefferson resident and recently retired from her 42-year nursing career. She is now the new coordinator for the local RSVP program. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what she is most excited about with her new position.

“Well, we are hoping to increase the number of homes that our volunteers serve. We are hoping to get the word out so we can reach even more people who are in need of the services that RSVP offers.”

As coordinator, Hurley will recruit and train new volunteers and match them with clients.

A meet and greet for Hurley is scheduled at the Greene County Extension office on Wednesday from 10am to noon. The public is invited to attend.
