dc conservationThe Dallas County Conservation Board invites everyone to join them on an Archeology and Fall Colors River Float this weekend.

It starts with a morning presentation at the Hanging Rock Shelter House in Redfield where attendees will learn about the Maxwell, Decamp and Kuehn sites and the people who once called the Raccoon River valley home.

The event then continues with an optional river float to Pleasant Valley to check out the fall colors and learn more about the river’s history.

The discussion starts at 10:30am Sunday and the float is from 1-5pm.  Registration is required.  To reserve your spot call 465-3577.
