As we’ve reported, electrical issues with the City of Jamaica’s water tower has led to a boil order to be issued until at least Wednesday.

Because the boil order requires  residents to boil water or use bottled water for drinking, brushing teeth, making ice or cooking, the Perry Fareway has stepped up and donated bottled water to assist residents.

Mayor LaDonna Kennedy says water is available for pickup at the Jamaica Public Library.
