ss_Warren_Cultural_Center_Exterior_Dusk_West_Elevation_OriginalA traveling exhibit created by the Museum of Danish America in Elk Horn, Iowa, is currently on free display at Greenfield’s Warren Cultural Center.

Executive Director Ken Sidey says the Heartland Homecoming exhibit is exciting to look at. “It is an exhibit of abstract paintings by a group of artists called Duende as Art. These are three artists that collaborate on their work, which is kind of an unusual approach, that each one of them contributes something to the canvass they are working on. They tell me duende is a term from Flamenco dancing that describes how the music and the dancer blend together so you can see it’s kind of appropriate for the approach they take to their art, which is very colorful and bright with large and small pieces.”
Sidey will tell us more about the exhibit at other upcoming events at the Warren Cultural Center today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
