The 24th annual Friends of the Jefferson Library used book sale is next month, but donations are still being accepted ahead of the event.

Library Director Jane Millard says they’ll accept any books, CDs, DVDs, audio tapes, games and puzzles from the community.

“Everyone is so generous (and) we really appreciate it. A lot of the items in the basement are donations, rather than what has been withdrawn from the library collection. So you might find the latest James Patterson (book) or Danielle Steel (book), you need to come and find out. There’s lots of hidden treasures in the basement and everybody is interested in different thing.”

The book sale will be from September 17th through the 24th in the basement of the library, during normal business hours.
