All eyes were on Cleveland last week for the Republican National Convention and rather than hearing about it on the radio or watching television, a local lawmaker got to experience it in person.
District 10 State Senator Jake Chapman was selected to represent Iowa as a delegate at the RNC, an experience he says was a great opportunity.
“I’d describe it as a privilege and an honor. My responsibility was to go and represent Iowa in the best way I could. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I think being there, we saw history being made. So I look forward to seeing how it plays out this fall but it was an absolute honor to be able to serve as a national delegate.
Chapman will tell us more about the experience on tomorrow’s Let’s Talk Dallas County.
